Job Description: Ryan Companies US, Inc. invites you to seize a unique opening as a skilled Real Estate Accountant at our bustling Minneapolis headquarters. As a vital member of our team, you will take charge of end-to-end accounting for assigned Real Estate Properties, making a lasting impact on our organization. Some things you can expect to do: Prepare and review financial statements Generate monthly accruals and adjust journal entries Perform multiple monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations Conduct analytical review of the General Ledger Track Capital Projects, calculate useful lives, and manage book value from work in progress to placement into service Prepare and file recurring sales tax (monthly, quarterly, or annually) Prepare annual budgets, reforecasts, and year-end operating expense reconciliations Support annual tax file preparation and financial audits Research open accounting issues, identify potential conflicts, and take corrective action to minimized risks Adhere to Client Accounting Policies and Procedures to ensure consistent fulfillment of internal and external reporting requirements Undertake special projects and other tasks based on workload demands Job Requirements: To be successful in this role, you must be able to work independently and as a team, as these defined responsibilities contain tasks that require individual ownership and collaboration that crosses over multiple teams and departments. A bachelor's accounting/finance degree and 3+ years of experience in professional-level accounting, financial statement preparation, and general ledger account reconciliation is required. You will really stand out if you have: Proficient experience with Yardi, MRI, and/or JDE E1 software Working knowledge of Excel Excellent communication skills Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently Strong work ethic & high attention to detail Eligibility: Positions require verification of employment eligibility to work in the U.S. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Certain positions and locations require COVID-19 vaccination, subject to reasonable accommodations for valid medical or sincerely held religious reasons. Compensation: The base pay is $70,000 - $80,000 per year. The annual base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or an incentive program.
