Position Summary

The Manager, Creative Services is a highly skilled, creative and visionary leader who owns the development and execution of our brand's creative strategy and in-house creative team. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong background in creative development, advertising, brand management, strategic thinking, and team management. Creating impactful and innovative campaigns that resonate with diverse audiences across multiple channels are key to success in this position.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute compelling creative vision for the Xcel Energy brand that aligns with overall business objectives, including implementation and extension of our visual design, visual identity systems and brand guidelines.

  • Lead the ideation and execution of innovative creative content and advertising campaigns that tell powerful stories, connect with customers, and drive brand engagement.

  • Oversee the development of high-level creative briefs, presentation decks, and campaign concepts that inspire and guide internal and external teams.

  • Manage the creative process from concept to completion, ensuring all assets are produced on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.

  • Direct and oversee the creation of a wide range of marketing assets, including AV, print, digital, social, OOH, and experiential.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and product development, to ensure cohesive and integrated campaign execution.

  • Ensure the department’s processes - including calendaring, workflow, editing, budgeting, and measurement systems - are in place and support the timely creation and high-quality production of creative services and deliverables.

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary creative team of creative design and production professionals.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, senior leadership, and external partners, including creative agencies and production companies.

  • Provide strategic and creative direction, offering critical feedback and guidance to elevate the quality and impact of creative work.

  • Ensure brand consistency across all channels and touchpoints, developing and maintaining brand guidelines, style guides, and templates.

  • Act as the guardian of the brand, ensuring all creative output aligns with the brand's visual identity and messaging standards.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, leveraging insights to drive creative innovation and differentiation.

  • Adapt global content and value propositions to fit the unique dynamics of regional markets, ensuring relevance and resonance with local audiences.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Design, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in creative roles, with a strong background in brand development, visual identity, and advertising.

  • Proven experience leading in-house creative teams in a fast-paced environment.

  • Expertise in digital marketing and B2B/B2C marketing.

  • Strong portfolio showcasing creative innovation and successful campaign execution across multiple channels.

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in major relevant design and project management tools, software and systems, such as Adobe Creative Suite.

Non-Bargaining

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $92,300.00 to $130,566.00 per year
