Wells Fargo Business Accountability Specialist - Fee Governance in MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota
About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking three (3) driven, high performing, self-motivated individuals to join the Home Lending Retail Fee Governance team, hybrid schedule requiring 3 Days in the East Town Minneapolis location, in support of all aspects of mortgage related fees for the Wells Fargo Home Lending Retail organization. These roles will support customer applications from application through post-close. In this extremely fast paced environment using the agile methodology, you will actively support the business through production related questions, intercept/control reports, formal and informal issue management, system analyses, manual loan level reviews, and process/procedure execution relating to fees.
This includes identifying and documenting areas of risk and opportunity requiring the need for resolution, enhancements, training, content management, additional communications, other solutions, or any combination therein. In addition, supporting daily activities through intercept/control reports, formal RCSA Controls, audit and regulatory requests, all while establishing and maintaining audit level documentary evidence that demonstrates the effectiveness and execution of the defined Controls.
You will be an active part of the team that brings identified risk and opportunity solutions from ideation through implementation. You and the team will be responsible for maintaining the highest level of knowledge and expertise of all things fees within the Wells Fargo Home Lending Retail organization. You will partner within the team and represent Fee Governance outside the team with numerous stakeholders, business leaders, and employees from multiple business lines, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and other areas to collaborate and consult on new, existing, and future fee related endeavors. You will be responsible to identify risks & opportunities, develop proposals, make recommendations, as well as plan, gather, and write requirements to support these proposals and resolve current and future issues that may arise. These efforts support accurate and local level fee responses from CORE and the Fee Service for the purposes of accurately disclosing fees on the Loan Estimate and other related documentation striving to provide estimates that are as close to what is actually charged on the Closing Disclosure as possible. Fee Governance support includes changes requested due to regulatory and legislative changes, new projects, internally identified changes, vendor changes, as well as changes specifically requested by the business. You will complete analysis of moderately/complex business problems and determine how to solve those problems using system analysis, business rules, loan level research, and automated systems. You will establish and enrich key relationships with business partners/areas and ensure awareness throughout the Wells Fargo Home Lending Retail organization for all topics relating to fees. In this role, you will:
Participate in research, assessment, and documentation of matters relating to the business' policy and regulatory adherence, risk mitigation, or control efforts; identify patterns and trends and looks for opportunities for procedural or control improvements within area of focus
Conduct assessments and analysis of basic business or operational outcomes, systems of record, technical assignments, documentation, procedures, or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives; exercise independent judgment to guide completion of medium risk deliverables
Present concise and well-articulated findings and recommendations, including rationale, to facilitate resolution of identified matters; exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in the risk mitigation or control activities of the business
Engage in additional research and studies to enhance regulatory knowledge
Collaborate and consult with colleagues, internal partners, and other business stakeholders to provide feedback, credibly challenge issues, and calibrate, as needed, to ensure alignment, consistency, and accuracy across groups
Participate in cross-organizational or internal operational initiatives and improvement efforts
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of risk management, business controls, quality assurance, business operations, compliance, or process experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of risk management, issue management activities, RCSA, developing and implementing solutions, and driving initiatives forward to resolution
Demonstrated experience in the end-to-end Loan Origination process, CORE, and related systems and services
Ability to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines amid shifting priorities
Demonstrated understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
Demonstrated understanding of Change Control, SDLC, process, design and toolsets
Demonstrated experience drafting and executing requirements for reporting/data/analytics, moderately complex business rules/technical projects, in a rapidly changing environment
Demonstrated experience authoring detailed business requirements using a variety of structured techniques and methodologies
Demonstrated facilitation, leadership and organizational skills
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
