Description
We are seeking a diligent, detail-oriented Entry-Level Accounting Clerk to join an accounting department. The successful candidate will play an essential role in maintaining and streamlining our financial procedures, ensuring compliance with accounting guidelines and regulations, and preserving the financial records.
Responsibilities:
Assist in maintaining and updating the company's financial records.
Compile & preserve invoices, receipts, and other financial documentation.
Perform basic bookkeeping duties, including managing accounts payable/receivable, reconciling bank statements, and preparing general ledger postings.
Assist in preparing financial reports and statements, detailing the company's financial status on a regular basis.
Participate in audit processes by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations
Communicate with clients to resolve discrepancies and issues related to invoices and payments.
Operate under the guidance of senior accountants, learning specified accounting methods.
Requirements
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
Basic understanding of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Experience with accounting software (e.g., Quickbooks, SAP) is beneficial, but not necessary.
Strong numerical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
