Description
Job Title: Accounting Clerk
Job Summary: The Accounting Clerk is responsible for supporting the accounting department by performing a variety of clerical tasks, including maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with reports. This role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and a basic understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and record financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and receipts.
Maintain accurate and organized accounting records and files.
Reconcile bank statements and assist with account reconciliations.
Assist in preparing financial reports and statements.
Handle accounts payable and receivable tasks.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Respond to inquiries from vendors, customers, and internal departments.
Support other accounting functions as needed.
Requirements
Previous experience in accounting or clerical roles is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) is a plus.
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
