AUDUBON ENGINEERING OPERATIONS LLC Advanced Technologies Lead in Metairie, Louisiana

Audubon is currently seeking a highly skilled Advanced Technologies Lead to drive innovation in hydrographic surveying, drone-based data collection, and 3D scanning within our land surveying operations. This role will oversee the implementation of advanced geospatial technologies, ensuring precision, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have expertise in hydrographic surveying, UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) operations, LiDAR, photogrammetry, and GIS applications.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

:

Technology Leadership:

  • Lead the integration and advancement of hydrographic, UAV, and 3D scanning technologies into surveying workflows.
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging geospatial technologies to improve operational efficiency.
  • Develop and implement best practices for data collection, processing, and visualization.

Survey Operations and Data Management:

  • Oversee hydrographic, aerial, and terrestrial survey projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage 3D scanning and LiDAR data acquisition for topographic and infrastructure mapping.
  • Ensure data integrity and seamless integration with GIS and CAD platforms.

Team Development and Training:

  • Train and mentor survey teams on new technologies, software, and equipment.
  • Establish technical guidelines and safety protocols for UAV and hydrographic operations.

Collaboration and Compliance:

  • Work closely with engineers, GIS analysts, and project managers to support multidisciplinary projects.
  • Ensure all surveying practices adhere to industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

:

  • Bachelors degree in Geomatics, Surveying, Geography, Civil Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.

``` - 5+ years of experience in land surveying, hydrographic surveying, UAV operations, or geospatial data processing. - Strong proficiency in LiDAR, photogrammetry, GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS), CAD (AutoCAD Civil 3D), and point cloud processing tools. - Certified Drone Pilot (FAA Part 107 or equivalent) preferred. - Knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards for hydrographic and aerial surveying. - Strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills.
