Job Title: Cycle Counter
Job Description
As a Cycle Counter, you will be responsible for efficiently managing and organizing inventory within a large warehouse facility. Utilizing various sit-down forklifts, RF scanners, and other equipment, you will ensure the accuracy and proper handling of products. Your attention to detail and basic math skills will be crucial in counting products, building pallets, and preparing shipments.
Responsibilities
Operate various sit-down forklifts, including EPJ's, stock chaser, Bendy, and sit-down forklifts up to 5,000 lbs
Utilize RF scanners and computers for documentation
Build and break down pallets, and bundle products
Accurately count and document product quantities
Follow pick sheets to gather materials
Use a shrink wrap machine to prepare pallets and shipments
Attach proper shipping information and ensure product accuracy before shipment
Safely stack products and move scrap material out of the work space
Work comfortably with heights using stand-up forklifts and cherry pickers
For the first 1-2 months, focus on breaking down pallets and stocking influx inventory
Essential Skills
High school diploma
Experience operating forklifts
Proficiency in using RF scanners and computers
Basic math skills
Attention to detail
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in moving steel tubing with a forklift
Experience operating a forklift within a lumber yard

Work Environment
The warehouse facility is large, clean, and organized, with 18 aisles of products. The team is smaller but efficient, and the facility is expanding due to an influx of inventory from another location. New equipment will be arriving soon, and there are plans to expand to a 2nd shift. Candidates should be open to working 50+ hours per week, including weekends when necessary. Steel toe boots are required, and employees will be informed 30 minutes before the end of their shift if they need to work overtime.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Merrillville, Indiana.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
