Position Summary The Data Analyst, Internal Audit Intern will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing analytics related to internal audits throughout the Company (including IT, financial, operational, compliance, quality and fraud). The role will assist in development of sustainable and repeatable data analytics processes to provide real time audit assurance to the business and improve audit efficiency. This position will assist in the development of analytics for the Internal Audit department and will collaborate with Internal Audit management and business functions within the organization in order to improve control, create efficiency, and add value to the business. Key Internship Info: Dates: Spring 2025semester start with potential to extend into year-round internship Location: Mentor, OH Work Environment: Hybrid What You'll do as a Data Analyst, Internal Audit Intern Developan understanding of business and data requirements, and design visualizations for initial concepts and prototypes that can be presented to Internal Audit and the business. Assistin data analysis (determine data structures, content, and quality of the data through examination of source systems) Assistin the creation of data visualizations (reports and dashboards) using Tableau as required. DevelopTableau-based ad-hoc user interfaces. Enhancethe efficiency of internal audits by developing reporting and analytics to support planning, sampling, and testing of internal controls. Contributeinnovative ideas in an effort to continuously improve the audit methodology and audit procedures including the strategic deployment of technology to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of audit procedures and increase value to the business. Partnerwith the Internal Audit team members to develop and deliver data analytics in all phases of the audit process including risk assessment process, planning and scoping, fieldwork and reporting. Work with Internal Audit colleagues to understand the Internal Audit processes, business risk and continuously improve the department and achieve department goals. Identify and resolve data quality and integrity issues Troubleshoot Business Intelligence and Analytics tools, systems and software; performance-tune applications as necessary Assist Internal Audit team with ad hoc projects, such as SOX compliance The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed Required: Currently enrolled in a four-year undergraduate degree program or a master's program in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Internal Audit, Data Analysis, Data Science, Information Technology or other quantitative fields of study and completed sophomore year Minimum of 15-20 hours/week availability Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word Preferred: Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 Experience with relational databases and datasets Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Microsoft Power BI Leadership experience in extra-curricular activities Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley, COSO, US GAAP, and their applicability in an audit environment Other: Commitment to integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality Strong attention to detail Quick learner Resourcefulness Team oriented Analytical thinking Organiza
