How you make a difference
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Infectious Disease Datais responsible fordeveloping and managing an infectious disease control program to prevent,identify, and control infectious diseases. They work closely with healthcare professionals and staff tomonitorand track infections,collectand analyze data, and coordinate infection control measures with other healthcare facilities and regulatory agencies. The LPN must possess strong communication skills and attention todetail, andbe able to manage multiple priorities while adhering to strict infection control protocols.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement systems to prevent and control infectious diseases.
Monitor tracking log to ensureappropriate follow-upof treated patients andmaintainrequired company documentation.
Attend monthly meetings with Medical Director and other medical personnel to report patient tracking issues.
Promote positive social skills and intervene when inappropriate behaviors areobserved.
Maintain accountability for infectious disease files in the regional office.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
Experience
One year of experience in infection control preferred.
One year of specialized training/continued education courses in infection control preferred.
Licenses/Certifications
Currentlicensed as an LPN in the state of employment.
Current CPR certification.
