This is a CONTRACT TO HIRE position.
MAJOR JOB DUTIES INCLUDE: Draw stock to the floor and locate unused floor stock back into warehouse inventory. Shipping and Receiving of goods including movement of material to or from storage and dock areas. Ability to execute all applicable shipping/receiving/inventory documents/transactions using EIQ software and any other applicable shipping/receiving/customs software required. Stage and prepare finished goods for disposition and shipment. Compare information on incoming and outgoing shipments to verify against bills of lading, invoices, orders, etc. Use computer and Data Collection System (EIQ) to enter/maintain accurate inventory records. Print and affix appropriate labels on incoming goods and shipments. Perform cycle counts as needed. Load and unload trucks for shipping and receiving; communicate with outside trucking companies. Miscellaneous duties as required/assigned. This may include assignments to other areas in support of Production.
MAJOR JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE: Valid OSHA certification for operating powered equipment such as fork trucks desirable. Ability to maintain certification as required by OSHA for any necessary powered material handling equipment. Previous shipping and/or receiving experience desirable. Detail Oriented Multi-Tasker Excellent attendance and work performance Ability to work with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills - ability to work in a team environment. Familiarity with using scales and weights. Computer literate Excellent math skills The employee frequently is required to operate a computer and other office equipment along with powered industrial forklift and/or hand jack; remain in a stationary position, move from one location to another, ascend and descend stairs or ladders. The employee must regularly move or transport items weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally 100 pounds or greater with mechanical assistance or co-worker assistance. The employee frequently fills loads with pallet jack. The employee is occasionally required to position oneself to retrieve items on floor level or racks above shoulder height. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
