Description

We are seeking an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in Meadows of Dan, Virginia. This role involves overseeing the day-to-day functions of the Accounting Department, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and contributing to strategic planning and annual budget processes.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee monthly closings and financial statement reporting and analysis for one location.

• Ensure proper tracking and reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts and intercompany activities.

• Support the Strategic Planning/Annual Budget process.

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.

• Safeguard assets and assure accurate and timely recording of transactions by implementing disciplines of internal audits, controls and checks across all departments.

• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.

• Review and manage the accuracy and productivity of the day-to-day activities of the Accounting Department.

• Oversee accounts payable, credit and collections, cost accounting, inventory valuation, fixed assets, project accounting, payroll and cash disbursements.

• Responsible for all regulatory filings including, but not limited to, sales and use tax, personal property, and federal and state income tax filings.

• Facilitate ongoing process improvements and manage the Accounting Department’s key performance objectives.

• Develop product profitability analyses and track key divisional metrics.

Requirements • Must possess at least 5 years of experience in a similar role as an Accounting Manager/Supervisor.

• Proficient in using Accounting Software Systems.

• Excellent knowledge and understanding of Accounting Functions.

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Ability to prepare Financial Statements accurately.

• Experienced in executing Month End Close processes.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required.

• Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is a plus.

• Must adhere to high ethical standards and demonstrate a high level of integrity.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
