Steampunk Data Engineer in McLean, Virginia
Overview
As a Steampunk Salesforce Data Engineer , you will be responsible forall aspects of data migrationand integrationfor a Salesforce Call Center implementation. You will establish and follow standard processes and practices to analyze requirements and datatoprovide quality work products(including documentation)and adatadesign that supports overall team and customerobjectives. You will work directly with Technical Architects, Solution Architects, Developers, and Functional Analystsin anAgile environment usingDevSecOpsbest practices and technologies.
Contributions
Responsible for leading data migration discoverysessionswith clients, documenting data definitions and dataflows
Performsource and target system analysis, specification, design and developmentactivities
Conduct Data Discovery/Requirements sessions and designworkshops
Performlegacy data extraction, normalization,andcleansing
Work with other technical and business stakeholdersto performdata mapping from legacysourcesto Salesforceobjects, identifyinggaps, risks, andissues – and advising customerson options and impacts.
Import data, sampling,validation,reconciliation, andcutover
PerformUnit testing and errorhandling
Lead Data User Acceptance sessions
Qualifications
Required
Minimum of5+ years in developing data migration strategies usinga variety ofRDBMStechnologies andETL tools
Experience defining the required functions (data mappings), interfaces and detailed technical plan including data formats, data extraction, data cleansing, and data migration from source systems to targetsystems
Demonstratedcompetency and proficiencyinSalesforcewith astrong knowledge ofthesalesforce.com object modelhighly desired.
Must be a U.S. citizen
