National Youth Advocate Program Clinical Services Director- Foster Care Program in Matteson, Illinois

Compensation: Salary is competitive/ negotiable depending on experience, degrees, and license.

Position Summary

The Clinical Services Director assists the Executive Directors or designee to promote the NYAP mission, visions, and values while providing clinical oversight, case consultation and clinical support to clinical therapists, and the associated treatment team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Clinical Services Director will perform administrative duties including, but not limited to:

  • Perform all work in a manner consistent with the National Youth Advocate Program’s mission, values, and philosophies.

  • Advocate on behalf of youth and youth services systems in individual and system advocacy.

  • Promote and assist the Executive Director or designee in developing innovative evidence based treatment programs for foster care service delivery systems to better serve the youth and families.

  • Create, promote and develop clinical training related to the professional growth and development clinical and behavioral professionals.

  • Attend and participate in internal and external multi-disciplinary team meetings e.g. CFTM, ACR, Clinical Staffing.

  • Provide education and support to treatment foster or biological families.

  • Lead and coach emerging clinical leaders in collaborative manner to improve skills and knowledge.

  • Review and approve clinical documentation for Medicaid rule 130/142 billable services, court and quarterly progress reports.

  • Knowledge and use on DSM-V TR in the completion on IM+CANS and for diagnostic impression.

  • Provide clinical case consultation and clinical support to the treatment teams.

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Psychiatric Clinic alongside medical team.

  • Assist in the submission of grant request proposals.

  • Present workshops at conferences on NYAP relevant treatment services.

  • Assist in enhancing the clinical treatment delivery of the services for youth throughout NYAP.

  • Assures employees consistently achieve established productivity thresholds.

  • Participates in the Continuous Quality Improvement activities on a monthly/quarterly basis.

  • Actively participates in regular supervision process, and provides robust clinical supervision to clinical professionals.

  • Capacity to remain objective and professional in all areas of job function.

  • Ability to organize data, plan, provide written and very feedback, and utilize electronic health systems.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s Degree and/or doctorate in social work, mental health or related behavioral/human services.

  • Active independent license (LCSW, LCPC, LMFT)

  • Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in behavioral, child welfare or community mental health, split between treatmentservices and training/supervisory services.

  • Must have a valid Driver’s license, reliable transportation, automotive insurance and a good driving record.

  • Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury liability.

  • Participates in on call schedule as needed.

  • Openness to working non-traditional hours as needed.

  • Strong leadership skills with an ability to motive and inspire staff.
