Being a P roduction Supervisor at Interfor Matagami means occupying a key role. You supervise employees, procedures and production and quality objectives for the entire sawmill. What You'll Do

  • Maximize sawmill efficiency by proactively managing resources, monitoring performance indicators and mobilizing the team towards safe and productive operations.

  • Optimize machine performance, streamline maintenance coordination, and propose strategic improvements to improve the productivity and efficiency of production processes.

  • Ensure interdepartmental collaboration to meet quality standards, respond quickly to safety issues and maintain strict compliance with environmental regulations with the support of the Environmental Coordinator.

  • Strengthen the definition and promotion of employee training and the implementation of tools to consistently achieve optimal operational results.

What You Offer

  • Post-secondary or college diploma in a field related to wood products

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a supervisor in a sawmill or related manufacturing

  • Experience in team management, including performance, in a unionized environment preferred

  • Knowledge of the principles of continuous improvement, occupational health and safety and lumber manufacturing processes

  • Motivating leader, exceptional communicator, results-oriented, organized and efficient team player, analytical problem solver and professional attitude

  • Fluency in oral and written French (English is an asset)

  • Availability according to a 7 days a week work schedule
