Job Description
We are the largest producer of inflated plate type heat exchangers in the world. All of our products are manufactured with heat transfer surfaces produced utilizing the latest technology of laser welding. These products are mainly used for food manufacturing and our customers are primarily international. We are seeking a 1st and 2nd shift welder. This position involves welding metal sheets together and cut out circles for liquid flow, fabricating pieces as needed, tig welding components and assemblies together, finishing welds, and assembly per blueprint. The role also includes using saws to cut metal to size, performing quality checks with micrometers and calipers, and assisting with general labor duties. The individual will use overhead cranes to move metal sheets.
Position Summary:
As a Welder/Fabricator, you will work as part of the Fabrication team to manufacture product to meet or exceed customer expectations in a timely manner while maintaining the highest levels of quality. Take pride and ownership of all duties as if the company was your own and keep the customer’s interests in mind which may include working overtime as needed. Maintain and promote a positive attitude and work environment.
Education/Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
Advanced training in welding or minimum 1-year experience in welding/fabricating stainless steel
Basic blue print reading
Ability to read a variety of measuring devices including: tape measures, micrometers, depth gauge, etc.
Exceptional attendance and punctuality
Prolonged standing, climbing, reaching, bending, hammering and lifting
Ability to work with and communicate well with others
Ability to adapt to stressful situations and short deadlines
Ability to work off shift and overtime as necessary
Position Responsibilities:
Follow production drawings to weld and fabricate product, including holding geometric & dimensional tolerances
Perform welds per specifications on thin gauge stainless steels
Prepare, weld, and polish food grade stainless steels
Perform basic set up and maintenance on weld machines
ASME weld certification – per standards
Follow standard ASME guidelines based on Section VIII of the Boiler & Pressure Vessel code
Must work as a team and contribute to each other’s success. This includes collaborating and working together, across all departments, on identifying and resolving issues together to accomplish assigned tasks
Manufacture product per specifications to include following direction of job packet, gather and organize materials for jobs as noted in the packet and inform the office of any missing materials as soon as possible. Make note of, and question the design team on anything that is seemingly wrong, to ensure quality in production
Responsible for creative ability to complete assigned task independently while maintaining company objectives and goals
Identify and process various material grades and finishes · Material handling / Inflation
Follow production drawings, routings
Follow standard ASME guidelines based on Section VIII of the Boiler & Pressure Vessel code
Perform product inflation and leak testing
Operate an overhead crane, forklift and perform manual lifting · Ensures work areas are clean and orderly
Complies with all safety rules and regulations
Perform other duties as assigned
Preferred Skills:
Forklift and overhead crane use
Tig Welding (preferred)- 2+ years' experience (will train the right individuals)
Mig Welding- 6+ months
Exposure to ASME guidelines
Familiarity with different types of stainless steel

Shift Hours:
10 hour shift (2nd shift) 1P-11p or 2-12p
10 hour shift (1st shift) 3A-1P
8 hour shift (1st shift) 5A-1P
OT expectation: 5-10 hours/week as needed
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
