Job Summary and Qualifications
Responsible for direction of patient care in the Med Surg setting. Manages staff members in Med Surg. Consults with staff, physicians and Nurse Executive on nursing problems and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met. Maintains performance improvement activities within the department, participates in CQI and patient safety activities. Assists in formulating budget. Supports the Ethics and Compliance program.
What qualifications you will need:
Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions) Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing Bachelors Degree from an accredited School of Nursing Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Minimum of 4 years current clinical Inpatient nursing experience in an acute care Hospital setting
Minimum of 2 years Nursing Leadership experience as a Nursing Manager or Nursing Director in an acute care Hospital setting
