Here, you will report directly to the SVP of Tax and make an impact by:Leading a team of tax professionals responsible for the global income tax provision, U.S. income and U.S. indirect tax compliance matters and all LATAM and Canadian tax compliance matters.Working with external providers in the preparation and review of Direct and Indirect tax returns for U.S./Canada/LATAMSupporting the tax organization in identifying ways to optimize tax processes and maintaining effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax accounting and compliance process.Identifying potential tax accounting and compliance risks and making recommendations to resolve and prevent issues.Monitoring legislative tax law developments, communicating the effects of these developments to management, and creating strategies to capitalize on changes to tax legislation.Partnering with tax and/or company personnel on special projects, expanding your network in and out of tax by driving prioritization and improvements in tax compliance and tax accounting.Actively engaging with stakeholders in different functions including Financial Planning & Analysis, Controllership, Treasury and Investor Relations, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of income tax reporting and complianceYour Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor's degree or higher AND ten (10) years of combined experience in income tax and/or accounting in a public accounting firm and/or large, multi-entity corporation in a private, public, government or military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Master's degree in Tax or Finance from an accredited institutionCertified Public Accountant, or equivalentDirect and indirect tax compliance experienceASC 740 Income tax accounting experienceStrong interpersonal, written and communication skillsAbility to meet deadlines, work under pressure and comfortable to manage an external teamWork location: Remote - United StatesTravel: May include up to [10%%] domest cRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-beingSolventum offers many programs to help you live your best life - both physically and financially.
