Hyatt Cluster Director of Revenue in MADRID, Spain

Description:

The Cluster Director of Revenuewill work closely with the hotels’s Leadership team and the Director of Sales & Marketing to ensure the efficient running of the Sales department in line with Hyatt's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations

The Director of Revenue will provide the hotel’s Leadership Team guidance in developing long-term strategies and short-term tactics to increase the hotel’s overall revenues and to maximize profit. The Director of Revenue has responsibility for all technical accounting aspects of hotel's revenue streams. This role will provide key leadership surrounding the hotel's revenue recognition policies and will regularly interface with the sales, operations and marketing departments.

In this role you will directly report to the General Manager working closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing

Responsibilities include:

  • Acts as primary contact and maintains productive relationships with all stakeholders, including hotel General Manager and sales leaders in HC-TH Madrid

§ Maximize overall hotel revenue for rooms and food and beverage through the implementation of effective pricing and distribution strategies

§ Manage and oversee revenue management analytic functions to produce reporting that support and evaluate hotel business strategies.

§ Produce accurate revenue forecasts that help set hotel goals and outgrow the competition.

§ Implement hotel sales strategy and pricing recommendations across all channels, Hyatt revenue systems and market segments.

§ Analyze results of strategies and tactics deployed on a monthly basis. Provide all communication necessary to hotels teams, regional teams and ownership groups.

§ Create the revenue forecasting process for the hotel to ensure that the accuracy of each forecast falls within Hyatt standards. Prepare the Annual Budget for the hotel.

§ Oversight and assist with Reservations.

§ Ensure Market intelligence, by gathering overall market data, conducting on-going assessments of competitive hotel chains and revenue management practices to understand demand and develop sustainable strategies

  • In collaboration with the Marketing team, identify opportunities for marketing initiatives that support and impact hotel total revenue.

  • Develop and recommend sales strategy for pricing of the transient customer, wholesale, and group segments

§ Ensure all strategies and tactics are pro-actively deployed to meet contractual performance clause for all hotels in the Madrid portfolio

Qualifications:

§ University degree in Strategic Marketing or Hospitality/Tourism/ Revenue management.

§ Minimum 3 years work experience as Revenue Manager, Marketing Strategy Manager, Marketing Analyst.

§ Strategic orientation, as well as good problem solving, administrative and interpersonal skills are a must.

§ Experience in managing hotel reservations would be a plus

§ Fluency in spoken and written English and Spanish is essential

§ The candidate must hold the required authorization to work in an European country*
