We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented
Quality Control Supervisorto lead and oversee the daily operations of our quality control lab for a manufacturing company. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with company and regulatory quality standards while supporting production operations and fostering continuous improvement within the quality control function.
The
QC Supervisorwill be responsible for managing a team of lab technicians, maintaining the highest levels of product quality, and driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the quality control lab to ensure accurate and timely testing.
- Ensure adherence to all internal quality standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Lead, mentor, and train lab technicians to maintain a high-performing team.
- Oversee the execution and documentation of quality control tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
- Operate various instruments such as GC, FTIR, Moisture Meter, X-rite, mixers, balances, pH meter
- Identify and resolve quality issues promptly in collaboration with production and engineering teams.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and standard operating protocols (SOPs).
- Monitor and report key performance metrics to track lab efficiency and product quality.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the quality control function.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry trends to ensure ongoing compliance and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in chemistry, Biology, Food Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of laboratory experience within the chemical or manufacturing industry
- 1+ years of experience in quality control or quality assurance, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
- 1+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems, regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, ISO), and laboratory procedures.
- Proficiency in using lab equipment and software for data analysis.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
