THE SALVATION ARMY - DANE COUNTY Maintenance Technician in MADISON, Wisconsin

The Maintenance Technician will maintain facilities in accordance with established policies and procedures. About the role: Conducts routine and preventative maintenance as assigned by the Facilities Director in a timely manner including basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, flooring and mechanical oriented tasks. Documents receipt, completion of, and time associated with completion of work orders. Maintains inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies. Submits requests for supplies to the Facilities Director as needed. Confirms the receipt of supplies with packing slips and invoices. Conducts and documents monthly inspection of all emergency systems and equipment. Provides the Facilities Director with periodic reports regarding maintenance priorities and deferred work orders. Ensures all plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems are in working order. Maintains a good understanding of local maintenance schedules, codes, manufacturer warranties, and service agreements. Assists in ensuring compliance with fire and other inspection codes. Ensures fleet vehicles are cleaned and maintained on a regular schedule to include oil changes, routine servicing, and weekly fueling. Education: Associates or Technical degree or Trade School graduate or apprenticeship Experience: Three years\' experience in property maintenance. OR - Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Certifications: Valid Wisconsin Driver\'s License with clearance to drive by The Salvation Army\'s insurance carrier. The Salvation Army is an equal opportunity employer.
