Actalent Production Engineer in Lowell, Massachusetts
Job Description:
Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers on the line.
Ensure smooth workflow by assigning tasks, monitoring progress, monitoring materials on the line and adjusting schedules as needed to meet production targets.
Maintain quality standards by training production workers and spot checking their quality level
Investigating quality issues in cooperation with quality control and implementing corrective actions.
Train new employees on production procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for existing staff to enhance skills and knowledge. Take an active part in product launches and train production workers on new products.
Identify and resolve issues or bottlenecks in the production process promptly. Collaborate with production management, development, logistics, and quality control to troubleshoot complex problems and deliver actionable solutions.
Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, improve quality, reduce waste, and optimize resources. Gather feedback from team members and suggest innovative solutions for enhancing productivity.
Communicate effectively with team members, management, and other departments to coordinate activities, convey instructions, and address any concerns or issues.
