Actalent Production Engineer in Lowell, Massachusetts

Job Description:

  • Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers on the line.

  • Ensure smooth workflow by assigning tasks, monitoring progress, monitoring materials on the line and adjusting schedules as needed to meet production targets.

  • Maintain quality standards by training production workers and spot checking their quality level

  • Investigating quality issues in cooperation with quality control and implementing corrective actions.

  • Train new employees on production procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols.

  • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for existing staff to enhance skills and knowledge. Take an active part in product launches and train production workers on new products.

  • Identify and resolve issues or bottlenecks in the production process promptly. Collaborate with production management, development, logistics, and quality control to troubleshoot complex problems and deliver actionable solutions.

  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, improve quality, reduce waste, and optimize resources. Gather feedback from team members and suggest innovative solutions for enhancing productivity.

  • Communicate effectively with team members, management, and other departments to coordinate activities, convey instructions, and address any concerns or issues.
