Department: CV Operating Room
FTE: Full Time, 0.9, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Days
Pay: $44.00 per hour plus travel package/stipend
LOCAL Traveler contract options available for those who reside within 75 miles
13 week assignments available - extension options
Minimum Requirements:
State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration - through DORA
1-year experience
BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date.

Job Duties:
Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies.
Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments. Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
Passes instruments to physician during surgery. Continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery.
Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action
