University of Louisville Plumber III in Louisville, Kentucky

Minimum Requirements:Completion of Journeyman's training, and Kentucky Journeyman Plumbers license and two years ofrelated experience. Valid driver's license. Must be insurable by the university's insurance carrier.Police record check and pre employment physical required. Additional experience may be used on aone-to-one basis to offset the educational requirements. Grade 5 (Hourly).Position Description:Perform skilled work requiring the application of standard trade practices in maintaining, installing, and repairing a variety of plumbing and heating systems fixtures.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESLocate and mark underground water, sewer and gas lines owned and operated by the University as required for BUD locates and other excavation work. Install all types of plumbing systems and piping systems as required by the University including but not limited to sinks, tubs, toilets, water heaters, appliances, water conditioners, faucets, showers, pumping systems, valves and piping including supports and hangers.Repair and maintain all sorts of plumbing systems and piping systems as required by the University including but not limited to sinks, lavatories, water heater, appliances, water conditioning equipment, faucets, valves, showers, pumping systems and equipment as well as various piping systems with varied materials and uses. Test piping systems and fixtures for leaks. Repairs and maintenance shall meet all environmental protection requirements and codes. Review plans, blueprints, and specifications to determine layout of plumbing systems. Apply all codes to work performed, prepare lists of materials used and needed.
