Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in Long Beach, California

Description We are searching for a meticulous Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in the Real Estate & Property industry based in Long Beach, California. This role involves managing property and corporate deposits, training property managers, and handling various accounting tasks. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, providing a platform to showcase your skills in Yardi Software, Bank Reconciliations, Property Management, and Bookkeeping.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all Property & Corporate deposits ensuring accuracy and timely processing.

• Train Property Managers on move-ins, move-outs, and leasing workflow to ensure smooth operations.

• Conduct month-end Deposit reconciliation, General Property Report, Aged Receivables, and Write-offs to maintain financial accuracy.

• Manage Journal Entries for record-keeping and financial analysis.

• Set up new properties in Yardi to maintain up-to-date records.

• Display excellent communication and organization skills in dealing with clients and team members.

• Understand and navigate the Property Management & Real Estate Investment business effectively.

• Demonstrate experience with Cash and Accrual basis accounting.

• Utilize Yardi 7s/ RentCafe / CheckScan / CRM for efficient management and tracking.

• Conduct Bank Reconciliation to ensure financial records are accurate.

• Proficiently use MS Word & Excel for data management and report generation.

• Execute special projects as assigned to meet organizational goals. Requirements • Proficiency in use of Yardi Software for property management and bookkeeping tasks

• Experience in handling bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records

• Knowledge of property management principles and best practices

• Strong bookkeeping skills to manage financial accounts and records

• Ability to work in a fast-paced real estate and property industry

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients and colleagues

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in all tasks

• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Proven problem-solving abilities to resolve any discrepancies or issues

• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality policies and regulations

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new systems and software as required.
