PagerDuty is seeking a Senior Corporate Counsel to join our growing Commercial Legal team; this role will be based in London (hybrid) and will support PagerDuty’s Sales and Partner teams in the EMEA region. This is an incredible opportunity to join a market-leading, publicly traded tech company and act as a strategic partner to the EMEA GTM teams to deliver on PagerDuty’s vision.

Key Responsibilities
Responsible for review and negotiation of revenue generating contracts for the go-to-market teams in EMEA to support our customers’ purchase of PagerDuty offerings.
Act as a trusted advisor to PagerDuty’s go-to-market sales, services, and partner teams on all customer and deal-related matters.
Proactively ensure alignment with cross-functional teams, such as Finance, Security, Product, Privacy and Sales Operations, during complex negotiations on customer requests.
Support the execution of strategic initiatives for the commercial legal team to help increase efficiencies and create scalable processes.
Basic Qualifications
UK-qualified lawyer with at least 9 years PQE gained in-house or at a leading law firm
At least 9 years of broad-based technology transactional experience in both the UK and EU, and understanding of key regulatory requirements in the SaaS space
Extensive experience drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and advising on different types of commercial transactions, including SaaS sales, reseller, strategic partnerships, consulting partnerships, licensing agreements, and statements of work
Experience collaborating with other cross-functional teams supporting Sales, communicating and explaining business risks, and drafting language to reflect business stakeholder approvals and feedback
Highly responsive with a service-oriented attitude. Expertise in balancing risk and other legal requirements to safeguard PagerDuty’s interests/values while ensuring revenue efforts are fully supported
Collaborative teammate with the ability to work independently, drive results, and maintain a professional and calm demeanor
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting a global sales organization, supporting international transactions, and negotiating across time zones
Experience doing business with regulated industries (including financial services) and understanding or interest in data privacy/data security
Previous working experience with sales operations, finance, and operations on deal velocity projects such as contract lifecycle management, new templates, and sales training
