Times Media: Times Media houses some of the world’s most trusted and revered news brands, including The Times, The Sunday Times, Times Radio, Times Literary Supplement and Times Money Mentor. Your role: We’re looking for someone to passionately lead and grow our B2B subscription partnership activity at Times Media. You will take the lead in driving the sales and growth of our subscription offerings to a wide range of industries, including corporate, educational, governmental, and other brand aligned partners. You will lead a team of sales and account managers to execute the strategy, while maintaining strong senior stakeholder relationships internally and externally.
This is a senior, high-visibility role with an opportunity to shape and drive our subscription strategy with B2B partners, as well as contribute directly to the success and expansion of our digital subscription business.
Role-based at News UK head office in London.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic leadership
Develop and execute a robust B2B subscription growth strategy, driving sales for The Times and Sunday Times across various industries.
Lead the team in identifying and targeting new opportunities with a focus on long-term relationships and large scale deals.
Implement strategic goals to grow B2B subscriptions, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and revenue targets.
Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, editorial, product and technology, to develop tailored subscription offerings and solutions for each partner.
Strategy & Business Development:
Identify new industry verticals and untapped potential for subscription partnerships.
Drive outreach efforts to create strategic partnerships with new and existing businesses
Develop pricing models and subscription packages tailored to different industries, based on market data and business requirements.
Team Management:
Lead and develop a team of sales and account managers, ensuring they are aligned with the company’s subscription growth goals and targets.
Foster a results-oriented culture focused on growth, customer acquisition, and long-term partnership management.
Stakeholder Relationship Management:
Develop and maintain relationships with senior leaders and decision-makers within key industries.
Represent The Times and Sunday Times in high-level negotiations, partnership discussions, and industry events.
Provide regular performance reporting and updates to senior management on progress, opportunities, and challenges.
What we’re looking for from you:
Proven experience in B2B sales, partnerships, or business development, preferably in a media, publishing, or subscription-based business.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
Confident, high energy and drive - you will working across several teams within Times Media and will need to influence decision making
Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic sales plans that drive significant volume growth.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders.
Strong understanding of subscription models, with experience managing complex, high-value partnerships.
Ability to develop pricing structures and tailored subscription packages
