What you will do as Director of Sales & Events

  • Work with the Director of Sales & Marketing and the Revenue Manager to set, monitor and review the hotel Sales and Events selling strategies.

  • To support the Director of Sales and Marketing and monitor and evaluate local, national and international market trends, and the competitor hotels’ sales initiatives, in order to make sure that the hotel’s marketing and sales remain competitive and cutting edge.

  • To support ADOS and ADOE to develop strategic sales plans and activities to ensure the hotel achieves the corporate, groups and events budget.

  • Conduct daily and weekly meetings with the ADOS and ADOE reviewing new and existing leads to ensure they are being effectively managed.

  • Support & monitor Sales Team to ensure that production quotas are met and that enquiries are professionally responded to and followed up in a timely manner.

  • Ensure that pro-active activities are taking place by the sales team to increase enquiry levels.

  • Using market intelligence reports and working with third parties, identifying opportunities within the hotel market segments, assessing the potential for new business.

  • Conduct and support Sales Team with site visits, offsite client meetings and presentations, fam trips and networking events

  • Stay up to date with market trends and competitor activity to identify business leads and ensure contribution to the overall hotel sales strategy

  • Work with Hyatt Colleagues globally to support and maximise opportunities locally and for other Hyatt hotels worldwide.

  • Ensure all Sales systems and bookings are kept up to date maintained in line with company standards.

About you

You will have a relevant background in a similar role in the five-star market. Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential.
