International Senior UI/UX Designer - Services (Sales, Subscriptions, and Contract Administration) in Lisle, Illinois

Position Overview

International is seeking a talented Senior UX/UI Designer to elevate our business to new heights. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in experience design disciplines, including solution discovery, interaction design and visual design, with hands-on experience in uncovering user needs through research and transforming those insights into modern, visually appealing designs and experiences.   As a Senior UX/UI Designer, you will be responsible for helping lead the design of ‘delightful’ experiences that unlock sales growth for our existing portfolio and growing service-based product catalog. You excel at making the complex simple to help unlock modern-day and intuitive experiences. As a designer you will be responsible for crafting intuitive, user-friendly interfaces that unlock sales and support experiences for our customers, dealers and internal users in the selling and administration of our commercial vehicle services and solutions. The scope of this role includes working closely with cross-functional teams, including collaborating in agile teams made up of product owners, engineers, other designers and stakeholders, to create seamless experiences that cater to the unique needs of our users in the commercial vehicle service sector.   This position will support our Digital Solutions department within Service Solutions and be based out of our World Headquarters in Lisle, Illinois, a suburb outside of Chicago.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product owners and engineers to discover effective solutions for target audiences (Dealers, Customers, Internal Users)

  • Lead the expression of product ideas through prototypes for evaluation and testing to converge on effective solutions

  • Immerse in product functionality and ensure a holistic customer experience

  • Oversee the design process from concept to final hand-off, aligning with business goals and user needs

  • Conduct user research to inform design decisions

  • Deliver rapid prototypes that are functional, visually appealing, and allow for user testing and feedback collection

  • Ensure successful implementation and adoption of design solutions using modern technologies and low-code platforms (Pega, Palantir, Salesforce)

  • Work in agile teams, participating in key sprint ceremonies (retrospectives, sprint planning, stand-ups, demonstrations, backlog refinement)

  • Develop user stories, personas, and storyboards

  • Create and maintain design documentation (wireframes, user flows, style guides)

  • Develop wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to support UI development

  • Validate and test UI concepts with end users using established usability testing methods

  • Track UX trends and seek creative ideas from analogous industries

  • Continuously iterate on designs based on user feedback and testing, summarizing key findings in various settings (1-1, team, group, town-hall)

  • Support UX research initiatives as needed

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of digital product design experience

  • At least 1 year of lead experience

OR

  • Master’s degree and at least 3 years of digital product design experience

  • At least 1 year of lead experience

OR

  • At least 8 years of digital product design experience

  • At least 1 year of lead experience

Additional Requirements

Desired Skills

  • Extensive experience in designing and delivering web and mobile applications that facilitate the sales of service-based products and solutions, including contract and subscription services.

  • Proficient in creating user experiences that support common eCommerce features and self-service scenarios, such as guided selling, product detail pages (PDPs), bundling, search, facets and filters, configure-price-quote (CPQ) use-cases, comparisons, ordering, checkout, and payment options.

  • Skilled in navigating complexity and ambiguity in agile and product owner/manager-led environments, successfully transforming ideas into working, in-production solutions.

  • Expert-level proficiency in modern design and research tools like Figma, Mural, Maze, or similar.

  • Experienced in leveraging low-code platforms (Pega, Palantir, Salesforce, etc.) to maximize capabilities.

  • Capable of leading end-to-end design activities, from concept development to high-fidelity deliverables, including wireframes, complex user flows, and prototypes.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.

  • Adaptable to fast-paced, dynamic environments.

  • Proficient in designing and delivering workflow and subscription-based experiences, such as pause, resume, transfer, cancel, refunds, upgrade, cross/up-sell, and amendments.

  • Experienced in creating data-based solutions, including dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that present data through intuitive and responsive interfaces.

  • In-depth understanding of modern design principles and user research methodologies.

  • Skilled in creating and maintaining design systems, pattern libraries, and reusable components.
