Children's Hospital Association Event Services Specialist in Lenexa, Kansas
Job Descriptions:

Where You’ll Work
This position is based in our Lenexa, Kansas office. We leverage a hybrid working model working three days in the office, two days optional remote work.
What You’ll Do
Develop, coordinate, and manage the Children’s Hospital Association’s (CHA) meeting and conference registration process and logistics.
Manage the request for proposal process, analyze results, review, and negotiate contracts with hotels, restaurants, and vendors.
Collaborate and communicate with program leads to identify logistic information and resources necessary to execute a successful event.
Interface with vendors and internal customers to facilitate meeting/conference logistics (hotel, exhibit companies, ground transportation companies, restaurants, etc.).
Create, edit, and organize all registration materials for the conference or meeting.
Manage communications and tasks associated with room list management. Includes securing guestrooms, reconciling reservation lists, tracking pickup, and reporting status.
Act as the primary on-site point of contact for conference attendees and hotel staff.
Manage restaurant or other off-site reservations.
Required Experience:
What You’ll Bring to CHA
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of three years of project management experience in event and meeting management.
Minimum of three years as an event coordinator for large conferences and meetings.
Minimum of three years as a meeting planner.
Experience with conference registration systems preferred.
Excellent project & time management skills.
Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to effectively handle stress and deadlines.
Ability to work with a diverse resource base and interact with individuals at all levels.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to travel by car or plane up to 30% of the time.
