Dartmouth Health Supervisor - Respiratory Care, Nights in Lebanon, New Hampshire
Overview
$7,500.00 sign on bonus.
Nights.
3, 12 hour shifts.
Additional Administrative hours to make it a 40 hour work week.
Develops, updates, and implements various policies and procedures related to the practice of respiratory care. Plans and executes special projects.
Responsibilities
Ensures that quality of care provided by staff meets standards by direct observation and individual instruction. Provides direct feedback to staff, including development of improvement plans.
Supervises the daily operations of the department and personnel. Assigns and oversees work assignments.
Coordinates and provides instruction of staff, students, nurse, and medical residents in respiratory care theory and practice. Develops in-service programs in conjunction with the administrative director.
Participates in leadership meetings with the administrative and medical directors. Leads small group meetings and inter-shift report. Assists in conflict resolution between staff and disciplines.
Acts as a consultant for staff RCPs, RNs, and MDs regarding patient assessment and care plan development.
Participates in the development of post hospitalization discharge planning for patients with high-level respiratory care needs.
Utilizes competency in all specific areas of practice including adults, pediatrics, and neonatal respiratory care.
Evaluates and discusses new products and equipment with staff and sales representatives. Arranges for equipment in-services.
Keeps abreast of new developments in the field.
Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
5 years of experience required.
Bachelor’s degree and supervisory experience preferred.
Required Licensure/Certifications
Respiratory Care Practitioner NH OR Temp RCP NH
BLS and ACLS within 180 days
