Description

We are providing an opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role entails working as part of a dynamic team, primarily focusing on managing the financial assets of individual persons. The successful candidate will be responsible for tasks such as assisting with case reviews, managing financial transactions, and interacting professionally with stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with Protected Person cases to provide efficient financial asset management.

• Perform paraprofessional level functions to protect and manage the estate of a protected person in accordance with legal regulations.

• Prepare and review accountings, inventories, and budgets for protected persons to maintain court compliance and develop an estate plan that meets the Protected Persons’ needs.

• Manage assets of a protected person with an emphasis on balancing income against expenditures.

• Maintain a database of financial transactions, deposits, and disbursements.

• Facilitate timely payments of a Protected Person’s bills, invoices, and other creditors while monitoring the client’s expenses.

• Investigate, locate, and manage a variety of assets of Protected Persons’ including real and personal property, stock, bonds, and other tangible assets.

• Interact professionally with other stakeholders such as attorneys, court personnel, CPA’s, realtors, appraisers, and other estate professionals to meet the Protected Persons’ needs.

• Maintain complete and accurate case notes, records, and files.

• Use standard office equipment, including a computer, in the course of the work.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an Accounting Clerk or in a similar role

• Proficient in Statement and Account Reconciliation

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Skilled in Data Entry tasks

• Familiarity with Invoice Processing

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Possession of a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field would be advantageous

• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices

• Experience with accounting software is desirable.
