Peckham Inc. - Security Coordinator

SUMMARY

The Security Coordinator position will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of Peckham facilities and its occupants. The Security Coordinator will supervise Peckham’s Contact Center Solutions Security Team at all contact center sites and will assist other lines of business Security Teams as needed. This position will also assist in overseeing the planning, installation, and maintenance of Peckham physical security assets regarding access control, camera monitoring, and security alarm monitoring systems. maintains the attendance, time, and productivity software system for team member production workers. This position establishes working relationships with the Apparel and Production supervisors, Vocational Service Specialists (VSS), Accounting, IT Team, and Management to ensure accurate time management operation. The Security Administrator position is also directly responsible for overseeing the security of the Greenhouse building by supervising the Greenhouse Building Rangers positions, properly utilizing the ‘OnGuard Access’ video security and alarm system, and other security and time system tracking methods. This position may occasionally require flexibility to work off hours including nights and weekends to respond to emergencies and urgent situations as needed .

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Ensure the Real Time Systems (RTS) operating property at critical times of work floor scheduling.Supervision of Peckham’s Contact Center Solutions Security Team and provide support to other Security Teams across all Peckham lines of business on an as needed basis.

  • Coordinate staffing coverage/scheduling to ensure operational security at multiple work sites.

  • Troubleshoot Foxfire hardware and configuration of the following computer systems:

  • Foxfire and SRVTPM3, CapDrives, and terminals.

  • Troubleshoot and support the RTS software installed on the following computers Foxfire, all Apparel Supervisor users, all VSS users, and all other users.

  • Provide training and documentation to all of the RTS users, including but not limited to supervisors, team members, and VSS.

  • Establish contact, coordinate installation, and Pprovide feedback to multiple vendors on software designs that best fit Peckham time and attendance systems operations.projects pertaining to physical security (access control, camera installs, security software).

    • Review and approve timesheets.
  • Interface with vendors on concerns regarding daily software operations.

  • Provide supervisors with daily time and attendance employee reports.

  • Maintain The Production Manager (TPM) database ensuring up-to-date accuracy of information.

  • Develop and implement best practice policies and procedures for utilization of the RTS and TPM time and attendance systems.

  • Make corrections as needed to ensure accuracy through to payroll processing.

  • Manage Peckham issued ID’s so that compatibility with the RTS is ensured.

  • Report daily progress and problems to supervisors.

  • Maintain full team involvement with the Accounting Department, Apparel Department, and Information Technologies Department.

  • Respond to the RTS error conditions as priority, (unless security is breached) over all other job duties until error conditions are resolved.

  • Monitor the ‘OnGuard’ video security and alarm systems, security records, provide requested copies of captured security video imagery as requested.

  • Monitor access control systems and trouble shoot issues with proximity badges and readers.

  • Issue, modify, and/or and delete identificationty badges and employee locker assignments, provide key and parking control, verify the identity of persons entering the building, inspect packages as directed, and respond to emergencies using initiative, independent and quick judgment while following established methods and procedures.

  • Greet persons entering the building and screen for accurate identity of staff, team members, venders, visitorsvisitors, and all persons on Peckham Inc. property using excellent hospitality skills.

  • Investigate unidentified persons on property. Request unidentified persons apply for identification at the desk. Explain Peckham’s entrance requirements having persons leave the premises if they refuse to comply.

  • Receive and record emergency and non-emergency calls for security. Screen and direct incoming calls. Route emergency calls appropriately.

  • Perform building and grounds patrols and monitor facility/personnel for unsafe conditions.

  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide basic first aid and/or emergency care.

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding work performed, the ability to positively handle multiple interruptions and adjustments to priorities throughout the day, and the flexibility to handle multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines.

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Teams.

  • Utilize a teamwork approach for all projectsPossess the ability to complete projects as a team and individually.

  • Assist in maintaining organization wide quality standards.

  • Assist in the training of people with disabilities.

  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

  • Other related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position will have supervisory responsibilities.

    • Develop a unified team that reflects Peckham’s culture and values.
  • Provide routine mentorship and coaching to direct reports.

  • Maintain a positive and engaging work environment; motivates others, and effectively manages conflict.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 4-5 years of experience serving in a corporate security role.

  • Several years related experience and/or training;

  • 1 year of supervisory experience.or 4 years equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to pass a federal background check to receive clearance to secure areas.

  • CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain.This position requires a CPR/AED/Basic First Aid certification. May be acquired after hire.

  • 20% travel requirements to other Peckham locations in Michigan

  • Bachelor’s degree
