International Warehouse Supervisor in Lakewood, Washington

Position Overview

The Pacific Northwest PDC is the newest Navistar Parts Distribution Center (PDC) in the network. It will be a new state of the art facility located in Lakewood, WA. This facility will serve our regional dealers with stock.

We are currently seeking a Distribution Supervisor to join our team in Lakewood. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Pacific Northwest PDC inside the four walls of the warehouse. You will report to the PDC Manager and have direct supervisory responsibility of up to 9 hourly employees.

This role will drive a safety culture, motivating and holding employees accountable for our safety, quality and productivity expectations. You may assist in additional leadership responsibilities such as being responsible for training, safety coordinator duties, slotting on the products in the warehouse or coordinating inbound and outbound transportation activities. This position will drive continuous improvement on the floor and ensure we are achieving our metric goals. There will be times where you will need to roll up your sleeves and get dirty to achieve our daily goals. This position being able to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, and includes stooping, walking and standing for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include any of the following activities related to the receiving, storing, and/or shipping of materials or finished goods:

  • Ensures materials are received from proper vendors, that they are delivered to inventory, and that finished goods are packaged according to specification and shipped in a timely manner

  • Reviews receipt of all materials to ensure purchase orders are open and the quality of materials received is correct

  • Ensures the security and accountability of materials and goods with inventory control

  • Ensures materials are available to meet production schedules and/or products are shipped as per marketing schedules

  • Establishes and modifies operational methods and procedures

  • Maintains documentation to reflect the effectiveness and efficiency of department activities

  • Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • At least 3 years of Supply Chain, Logistics, or Distribution/Warehouse experience

OR

  • Master’s degree

  • At least 1 years of Supply Chain, Logistics, or Distribution/Warehouse experience

OR

  • At least 5 years of Supply Chain, Logistics, or Distribution/Warehouse experience

Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
