Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client in a dynamic bio-tech company. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Process high-volume accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently.
Verify and reconcile invoices, ensuring appropriate approvals and documentation.
Prepare and execute weekly payment runs, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
Monitor vendor accounts to ensure payments are up to date and resolve any discrepancies.
Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records and documentation.
Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment issues and inquiries.
Requirements
Requirements:
Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role in a bio-tech or pharmaceutical environment preferred.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial records.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with vendors and team members.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance related to bio-tech industry payments.
Experience with purchase order systems and inventory management.
