CrowdStrike, Inc. Full time R19049 About the Role: The CrowdStrike IT Collaborative Applications team is seeking a Senior Automation Systems Engineer. This role involves extensive experience in researching, configuring, and deploying automation systems, scripts, and models within SaaS and on-premises systems/products in an enterprise environment. The engineer will proactively consult and advise IT leadership, business partners, and core operational functions on automation considerations to address highly complex, visible, and business-critical initiatives, with a focus on AI operations, productivity enhancements, and building rapid tools for system administrators and operators. What You'll Do:

  • Lead Automation Initiatives: Discover, develop, and deploy cross-functional automation initiatives, often integrating key enterprise systems.

  • System Integration Expertise: Provide deep expertise in integrating, automating, and scaling systems via automation scripts, API development, and repeatable deployment processes.

  • AI Operations and Integrations: Develop secure integrations, plugins, and extensions to enhance productivity and leverage AI capabilities within enterprise applications.

  • Rapid Tool Development: Build rapid tools leveraging multiple APIs to help system administrators and operators enhance their productivity and streamline operations.

  • Data Loss Prevention (DLP): Implement and maintain DLP strategies around AI usage to ensure data security and compliance.

  • Maintenance and Deployment: Own and maintain automation configurations, code bases, scripts, and run-books from design to deployment, including QA, Release Management, Change Management, and post-go-live support.

  • API Integration and Data Pipelines: Champion the visibility of enterprise systems, focusing on API integrations and clean data pipelines for reporting, metrics, and monitoring.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Work effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including Information Security, Legal & Compliance, and Senior Leadership, with strong communication skills.

  • Product Ownership: Support and drive a Product Owner mindset, optimizing value, decision making, and engagement of assigned applications and systems.

What You'll Need:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or relevant experience.

Experience: 8-10 years of experience in:

  • Scripting, automation tools, or development languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Ansible, Python, JavaScript, Go.

  • Version control systems and repositories like Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, Gitlab, or CodeCommit.

  • Monitoring, logging, and SIEM technologies like Prometheus, Splunk, DataDog, Falcon LogScale.

  • Collaborating with IT, Information Security, Compliance & Legal departments within an enterprise to scale operations.

  • Promoting and utilizing a product owner mindset, focusing on Product Ownership, Value, Decision Making, and Engagement.

AI and Productivity Tools: Experience with developing secure integrations, plugins, and extensions to enhance productivity, particularly leveraging AI.

Rapid Tool Development: Proficiency in building rapid tools using multiple APIs to support system administrators and operators.

Strong experience with Google Workspace and GCP administration - apps script, Workspace APIs, login flows (OAuth2), integrations.

Tools:

  • Experience with enterprise-level operations tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, Slack.

  • Experience with enterprise data migrations and application consolidation.
