Google Engineering Manager, BigQuery Security in Kirkland, Washington
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in Software development and with data structures/algorithms.
4 years of experience in Data Security.
3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with privacy analysis, security and threat modeling.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $189,000-$284,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Build and manage a high-performing team of engineers, providing technical guidance, career development, and performance feedback.
Drive the development and implementation of security capabilities in BigQuery around Fine-Grained Access controls, overall BigQuery Security Posture, and leveraging the latest and greatest AI powered tools to improve the overall BigQuery Security.
Integrate security into all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), from design and development to testing and deployment.
Conduct regular threat modeling and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential security vulnerabilities.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive security incident response plan, ensuring prompt and effective response to security incidents.
