Golden State Foods Warehouse Clerk in Kent, Washington
Overview
JOB SUMMARY: Receives, selects, stores, and loads products and/or materials. Safely operates all material handling equipment. Accurately completes all associated paperwork. Maintains clean work area consistent with company standards.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Inspects incoming and outgoing product.
Reads labels and associated documents printed in English.
Counts and calculates using basic math skills.
Lifts, carries and stacks product up to 75 pounds at a height of up to 7 feet.
Maintains high focus in an environment of many obstacles and distractions.
Uses push/pull motions in building pallets up to 8 feet high.
Operates electric forklift and electric, stand-up rider pallet jack.
Maintains productivity and accuracy according to engineered work standards.
Cleans work area using a mop, broom, or electric sweeper vac.
Due to the nature of our 24-hour business, work schedules vary.
Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.
PERFORMANCE CATEGORIES
Productivity standard of 95% must be met within the first 120 days of employment as measured by the engineered work standards system.
Job knowledge – Basic understanding of the requirements of each type of assignment, correct operation of equipment and functions/processes related to job, and good overall understanding of GSF.

Quantity of Work – Level of production in comparison with others in the work group or with established standards.
Housekeeping – practice of maintaining a clean work area.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and experience equivalent to:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or equivalent
Forklift certification required within 30 days of employment
Experience:
Entry Level . . . OR . . . Previous experience in a fast-paced, food-grade warehouse, safely operating material handling equipment.
