Summary:
Under the direction of the Imaging Services Manager, performs those duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures applying Computed Tomography. Specifically oversees technologists and ancillary personnel assigned to CT and is responsible for all technical aspects regarding workflow and the day to day operations of the CT Department. Distributes work assignments and accommodates work requirements in an efficient and effective manner.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION
Satisfactory completion of formal training in an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology
BLS required 90 days after hire
CT Technologist must be certified as a CT Technologist (ARRT (CT)) at time of hire
Must maintain current licensure as "Radiologic Technologist, Diagnostic with Injection" by State of New York
EXPERIENCE
Pre-Hire Experience: Three (3) years of experience as a Staff CT Technologist. Experience as a licensed Diagnostic Radiological Technologist required.
Post-Hire Experience: Perform the duties in an acceptable manner within three (3) months
CREDENTIALS
Current Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist- Computed Tomography Registry (ARRT) (CT)
Current New York State License as a Radiologic Technologist with Injection BLS Certification
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
Thorough knowledge of radiation protection standards, devices and techniques to assure that adequate safeguards are maintained, Including EPIC workflow and safeguards.
In depth knowledge of the principles and techniques of CT in order to produce high quality scans, maintain equipment and ensure quality assurance.
Ability to work without direct supervision
Analytical ability

Knowledge of performing all basic and complex CT studies
Ability to interpret data and draw conclusions
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to operationalize workflow between both scanners
