Continental Integrity and Law_Export Control Manager in Kanagawa-ku, Yokohama-shi, Japan

This role will support Export Control and Sanctions (EC&S) matters in Japan, covering Automotive, ContiTech, and Tire Sectors, cooperating with Export Control Business Partners in each Sector. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of export control and sanctions compliance and demonstrate a strong ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
Aligning the EC&S processes in Japan with the global EC&S strategy
delivering EC&S training and ensuring regulatory compliance within Japan
Assisting with classifications and addressing EC&S requests from J-OEMs
Identifying and assessing EC&S-related risks, developing and implementing mitigation strategies, and monitoring their effectiveness
Education / Certification
Bachelor Degree in International Trade, Law, Administration, Economics, or related filed. A master's degree or higher will be considered an asset.
Professional Experience
(Variety of Functions, Variety of Business, General Management Experience)2+ years of experience in export control and sanctions roles, with a preference for experience in the automotive, tire, or related industries.
Project and/or Process Experience
Demonstrated experience in the development, implementation, and management of export control and sanctions compliance programs
Leadership Experience
Although direct reports are not a part of this role, basic leadership skills are expected to influence and guide cross-functional teams towards compliance goals.
Intercultural / International Experience
Experience working in or with diverse cultures, particularly within the APAC region, is preferred, but not mandatory.
