Alaska State Job Bank STEM Camp Counselors - Summer 2025 in Juneau, Alaska
JEDC is seeking enthusiastic and passionate individuals to facilitate a positive, fun, and educational environment for campers! Successful candidates can expect to work approximately 30-40 hours/week, as noted below. This online application will provide an option for comment, and we encourage all interested parties to apply even if there are other scheduled activities to work around (e.g., family vacation).
Required Qualifications:
- Must have demonstrated affinity in STEM.
- Must be 14 years old or older.
- Must enjoy working with kids.
Schedule Commitment:
- Must be able to participate in paid training June 2-6; e xact training times and dates during that week will be determined.
- Must be available to work at least two (2) of the following week-long camps in Summer 2025:
- June 9-13
- June 16-20
- June 23-27
- July 7-11
- July 14-18
- July 21-25
- July 28-August 1
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience as JEDC camp counselor and/or JEDC camp participant.
- Prior experience withFIRSTLego League and/orFIRSTTech Challenge.

Additional Details:
The majority of these camps will be robotics-themed and feature various applied STEM exercises, as well as other general summer camp activities. There is the possibility for other camps including 3D printing.
Most camps will be located at
Thunder Mountain High School (TMHS).
Most weeks will run two camps: one for Grades 1-4 and one for Grades 4-8. Our summer camp counselors are expected to be flexible with which age group they are assigned.
