Position is located at 3201 McClelland Blvd, Joplin, Missouri.
Position is Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm with the ability to work additional hours as needed.
SUMMARY: The incumbent is responsible for effective generation of a full range of products and services used to achieve a comprehensive financial approach of meeting clients financial needs. The incumbent has a broad range of knowledge of various financial strategies such as: cash flow management, leverage, and wealth transfer before and after death. The incumbent has an assigned portfolio of clients and is expected to conduct a systematic contact approach to achieve high-level touches with private banking clients. The incumbent is to provide exemplary customer service and be consistently available to meet with clients as needed. Direct responsibilities include: managing a loan portfolio consisting of consumer and commercial[1] loans and deposits, managing loan portfolio risk and client relationships, assessing other financial products to serve the private banking clients financial needs and fulfilling the delivery of the product or service to the client. Incumbent is expected to be actively involved in the community.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Analyze and develop wealth management strategies for private banking clients by aligning the clients financial goals with Arvests products and services that will serve to meet the clients needs.
- Serve as a single point of contact for all of a Private Banking clients financial needs. This role has the responsibility of identifying and acquiring strategic business partners within Arvest who can assist in fulfilling financial needs.
- Develop quality prospects and Centers of Influence (COIs), through internal and external referral sources, organization involvement, market research, target marketing specific industries or segments of the market.
- Demonstrate strategic internal partnerships by conducting join calls with other associates, including commercial and mortgage lenders, treasury management personnel, wealth management counterparts, and/or the Private Banking Manager.
- Analyze and develop loan presentations with complete credit analysis for commercial loans. Utilize sound underwriting practices to determine an appropriate decision for a commercial loan request. Assimilate required documentation to process consumer loans using the banks policies and procedures. Ensure completion of loan closing and disbursements for the client.
- Generate a continuous pipeline of new business utilizing the CFB4 process.
- Pursue continuing education related to the role of the Private Banker. Development of additional expertise in lending and asset management for wealth management financial planning is expected.
- Foster teamwork and private banking knowledge in all assigned branches to ensure a positive customer experience for qualified private banking clients.
- Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
May directly supervise 1 or more associates as assigned by the Manager. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Ensure direct reports have completed required compliance training and are adhering to all internal procedures and controls as it relates to bank policy, laws, regulations and Arvests BSA/AML Program. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates. The incumbent has the authority and the appropriate influence to make recommendations regarding hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, or any other change of status of other associates within the guidelines of the banks procedures and guidelines for such change of status events. The incumbent provides training, planning, assigning, and directing work assignments and schedules; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
[1] Commercial credits are underwritten on the strength of the private clients personal financial strength, i.e., personal financial statement, cash flow and assets.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Associates degree in accounting, finance or business or equivalent work experience is required.
- 4 years experience in financial services is required.
- Completion of CFB 4 training within 6 months.
- Current NMLS SAFE Act Registration or the ability to be registered within 30 days required.
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- Series 7, 66 and insurance license preferred.
- Exceptional consulting skills preferred: ability to probe, listen, clarify and present information to advance sales transactions, deepen relationships.
