The Hiram G Andrews Center, Maintenance Division is looking for a responsible Maintenance Repairman 1 with exceptional work ethic to complete our team. This position gives you the opportunity to maintain lawns, trees, flower beds, and winter equipment, complete minor repairs to buildings, and perform general shop work. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Maintenance Repairman 1, you will be responsible for the maintenance of landscaping and winter equipment, complete minor repairs to buildings, and perform general shop work. Work includes planning and performing routine maintenance, gathering quotes and ordering parts, tools, and materials, as well as purchasing equipment parts and tools. You will have the opportunity to assist tradesman and other general shopman with maintaining and repairing all carpet in the facility, installing flooring, and repairing pumps and check stations. Additional duties include but may not be limited to: Erecting scaffolding, ladders, and work platforms Developing estimates for loss or damage of commonwealth property and completing incident reports Moving and repairing furniture to meet the changing needs of HGAC Delivering and picking up shop materials and tools from assigned shops

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment. Work hours are 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of experience in general maintenance work which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities. Special Requirements: You must possess a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's license, which is not under suspension. Other Requirements: You must meet the PA residency requirement. Legal Requirements: This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
