Job Output Under the supervision of the Product and Procurement Specialist, the Inventory Specialist is responsible for assisting with inventory control, plant purchasing systems and cycle count processes for raw materials and WIP (work in process). Essential Duties and Responsibilities includes the following. Other duties may be assigned. General Duties Commit to and follow the facility mission, vision and values that support the AWI Operating Principles as an individual and team. Attend and participate in all required company training programs. Inventory Management Duties Conduct weekly inventory cycle counts for raw material and WIP to support production plans. Investigate and work to resolve inventory discrepancies. Ensure all inventory is accurately labeled and all obsolete, expired, or defective inventory is disposed of as directed. Audit daily material usage sheets against production job routers for accuracy and enter into Epicor. Utilize material handling equipment to transport material between workstations and areas within production area, including pallet jacks, forklift, reach truck, dollies, etc. Work with production through use of coil transfer forms to keep location of coils up to date in Plant ERP system so that on hand quantity and location within the warehouse as well as at outside processors is accurate and readily accessible. Support warehouse housekeeping efforts using Lean 5S principles. Look for areas of opportunity to help automate processes, develop solutions, and gain support from others to complete sustainable change. Procurement Duties Upon delivery of raw materials to the facility, perform required quality verifications. Once quality verification has been completed, receive PO in Epicor and staple packing slip to PO and provide to Procurement Specialist. Manage the Plant's cardboard supplier. Place weekly crating material order from Lowes Environmental, Health, & Safety Follow all Company, OSHA Safety, and EPA Environmental Policies. Demonstrate personal safe behavior and encourage safe behavior in others. Participate in safety related events/trainings/processes. Conform to all company policies and procedures. Maintain clean and organized work area. Report any safety/environmental incidents.
