Alaant Workforce Solutions Production Control / Operations Specialist in Johnstown, New York
Alaant Workforce Solutions is looking for a Production Control / Operations Specialist to join a dynamic team and play a vital role in keeping production floor running smoothly and efficiently.In this role, you’ll use your manufacturing and operations experience to coordinate with production, procurement, logistics, and quality teams. Your focus will be on keeping schedules on track, ensuring material flow, and supporting efficient daily operations. Job Duties:Plan & Schedule Production: Assist in developing and managing efficient production schedules to meet demand.Inventory Oversight: Monitor and maintain raw materials, WIP, and finished goods to avoid shortages and overstock.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with production, supply chain, and logistics to ensure timely material flow and issue resolution.Improve Processes: Identify workflow inefficiencies, suggest improvements, and help reduce waste.Analyze & Report: Track data, flag bottlenecks, and generate performance reports related to delivery, production, and inventory.Problem-Solve: Troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly to minimize disruption.Contribute & Learn: Stay up-to-date with ERP best practices (Syteline) and share new ideas to enhance team performance. What You Bring:Experience: 2-5 years in production control, manufacturing, or operations within a fast-paced setting.Skills:Experience with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing is a plus.Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Infor Syteline or ERP systems a bonus.Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field.
