JPMorgan Chase CDO Reference Data Product Engagement - Project Manager in Jersey City, New Jersey

The Chief Data Office (CDO) in Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) is a business-focused entity aiming to deliver high-quality, compliant data to our stakeholders. The CIB CDO manages the overall strategy and execution of the CIB data agenda. The Reference Data Product (RDP) was established to enhance the quality, integrity, and reliability of the firm's crucial reference data. RDP contributes to the firm's growth, cost reduction, and regulatory compliance by improving data quality, reducing ambiguity, enhancing transparency, rationalizing replicated data assets, and promoting firm-wide information sharing. As the governing body, RDP creates firm-wide reference data standards, develops supporting technologies and processes, collaborates with Lines of Business (LOBs) to incorporate best practices, and ensures sustainability by refining and improving the firm's reference data management capabilities.

Job summary:

As a Corporate Data Office Reference Data Product Engagement - Project Manager within the Corporate Investment Banking Chief Data Office, you will become a part of the Reference Data Product Engagement team with a focus on supporting business priorities and strategies. You will have the chance to build strong working relationships with partners, stakeholders, and senior management, and play a significant role in key project streams within Reference Data Product Engagement. Your responsibilities will include analyzing large data sets, developing data collection systems, interpreting results, and creating business cases as required. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute ideas and solutions that will help shape both tactical and strategic solutions.

Job responsibilities:

  • Supporting two key project streams within RDP Engagement - Contacts Data Management and strategic Reference Data adoption across Markets, Security Services, Payments, Banking and Commercial Banking

  • Leading analysis / working group meetings with stakeholders including preparation of meeting materials

  • Analyzing large data sets, create data collection systems and interpret results

  • Using Data Visualization toolsets such as Qliksense or Tableau to create meaningful insights based on large data sets.

  • Using analytical automation platforms such as Alteryx to streamline existing data analysis processes.

  • Developing business cases as needed where technological infrastructure build / changes are identified

  • Contributing ideas and solutions to help shape both tactical and strategic solutions

  • Collaborating with PMO Leads to ensure clear documentation of meeting minutes, maintaining scorecards, project plans, RAID logs and other PMO updates

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities:

  • Knowledge of party reference data, client onboarding processes (including KYC) and downstream trade booking and risk management processes.

  • Ability to understand logical data models and work with data architects to define extensions to the strategic party and account data model.

  • Experience of working on agile delivery projects with ability to write user stories.

  • Excel/PowerPoint/Visio skills with ability to create business focused presentations and clear process flows.

  • Confidence in communicating internally at all levels; candidate will be dealing with stakeholders of varying degrees of seniority across front office, middle office and technology teams.

  • Effective change and time management skills. Ability to support & adopt within a changing environment. Efficient at multi-tasking and able to work under pressure.

  • Knowledge of Markets and/or Securities Services business.

Preferred qualifications, skills, and capabilities:

  • Additional knowledge across other departments e.g. Banking, AWM would be useful.
