THE ARTS CENTER Education and Exhibition Director in Jamestown, North Dakota
We seek a dynamic Education and Exhibitions Director to manage Jamestown Fine Arts Association programs and spaces that utilize the arts and artists to educate, engage, stimulate, and inspire students of all ages and visitors. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education, strong leadership skills, and the ability to create engaging learning environments.
Education (60%)
Education in the arts and community engagement are core to The Arts Center's mission. EED manages our signature programs: Artist in Residence, Arts After School, Adult Classes, Family Classes, Summer Camps, Outreach programs, and Downtown Arts Market Art Activities.
Exhibitions(30%)
The Education and Exhibitions Director is responsible for all aspects of exhibitions, beginning with initial conception of exhibition content through physical installment of art.
Artist Development(10%)
JFAA values supporting artists of all ages, styles, traditions, and skill levels. Helping artists advance is a shared staff responsibility; the EED creates programs that help artists with exposure, professionalism, marketing, and promotion.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Education, or a related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in budgeting and financial management
- Ability to collaborate with a team and work independently when necessary
