Kuehne+Nagel QuickSTAT Air Logistics Healthcare Operational Care Specialist Lead in Jamaica, New York

Your Role
Monitor and observe the overall daily operation (CS/Ops) offering guidance and assistance to staff as needed. To correct and/or alert potential or real problems to management.
Your Responsibilities
Perform desk checks for current job status
Monitor job status display screen
Monitor call distribution C/S and Ops phone coverage display unit
Evaluate dispatch workload and expedite pending tasks
Ensure all problems or service issues are promptly escalated
Coordinate break times with staff ensuring proper staff coverage at all times.
Delegate tasks to staff where/when needed.
Train new employees
Ensure staff complies with company policies and procedures.
Assist in the development of training programs.
Provide feedback and ideas to management to improve the operation.
Open to work any schedule.
Assist management in monitoring the vendor network to ensure quality and compliance with Quick / Sterling policy and procedure.
Your Skills and Experiences
Comprehensive knowledge of temperature-controlled packaging and monitoring devices available to support the biopharmaceutical industry
Demonstrate ability to identify and solve problems.
Demonstrate written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrate ability to sell clients the proper service type
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Computer proficiency (Word / Excel)
Time Management: ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
Knowledge of international & domestic airline routings, geography& time zones
Ability to get along with co-workers and management in order to maintain a professional work environment
Strong Team Player
Must be flexible to work nights, weekends and holidays
2 – 5 years Air Courier or Freight Industry background
Specialization in Biopharm or cold chain transportation
Background in health care or Biopharmaceutical industry
Customer Service in related industries.
Import / Export / Warehouse & Transport
Clinical Trial Logistics including temperature control packaging, shipping and/or regulatory requirements
GDP training and qualifications specific to transportation
IATA Dangerous Goods by Air Certification
Preferred – Associate Degree or higher, or minimum of 2 years of Desirable experience
IT / Computer literacy qualifications
Must demonstrate excellent written and oral English skills
Fluency in second language desirable.
