Description

SUMMARY

The Manager of Social Services reports to the Program Director, s/he is responsible for the supervision of the case management staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

  • Oversee case managers, including hiring, training, disciplinary action etc.

  • Under the guidance of the program director, plans, directs, and coordinates all case management services.

  • Assist with the development, interpretation, and implementation of the policies and procedures for all staff.

  • Supervises case conferences, meeting with staff weekly to assess client progress.

  • Promote client relations by assisting with receiving complaints and compliments, investigating, and resolving all complaints.

  • Ensures that policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements are adhered to by staff.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION

  • Master’s degree in social work or Mental Health Counseling, a plus

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

  • Independent license issued by NYS, a plus.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum one to three years of experience working in Social Services.

  • Minimum one year of experience in a supervisory role

  • Bilingual in Spanish required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This job operates in an indoor office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
