Le Burger is a new, modern, artsy restaurant with an industrial feel, bringing the New York City downtown vibe to Jakarta. Specializing in signature burgers with delicious sides and desserts, Le Burger also offers fast breakfast and lunch options in a Grab & Go style. With an attached beer garden, the restaurant provides a variety of beers on tap and in bottles, all within an exclusive and hip atmosphere.

As a Chef de Cuisine, you will be responsible for the overall quality of all culinary dishes prepared in your kitchen at both VONG Kitchen and Le Burger. You will ensure that all meals, from appetizers to main courses and desserts, are crafted to the highest standards for our guests' enjoyment. Your extensive culinary knowledge, combined with your leadership and organizational skills, makes you a valuable asset. You thrive in a high-pressure environment and take pride in leading your team to consistently achieve their daily goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of all dishes in your kitchen, ensuring the highest quality.

  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredient selection, and kitchen operations.

  • Maintain high standards of organization and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring safe food handling practices.

  • Lead, train, and motivate your team to meet daily objectives and maintain a positive kitchen environment.

  • Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes.

  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs to maximize profitability.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-end restaurant; hotel experience is a plus.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen operations.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
