What you’ll be able to do:

  • Create, build, and maintain parametric mass models to forecast mass properties of future components, vehicles, and systems.

  • Own and publish a 3D-based mass bill-of-materials for all vehicle configurations.

  • Run multi-body dynamics analysis and other parametric tools to calculate design loads for a variety of vehicle components (chassis, powertrain, thermal, etc.)

  • Collaborate with system and attribute owners to track mass properties and identify innovative mass saving solutions.

  • Investigate and assess feasibility of alternative manufacturing methods, geometries, or emerging technologies that can reduce vehicle masses and/or loads.

The minimum requirements we seek:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent

  • 5+ years experience in automotive or related field

  • Strong engineering fundamentals, and ability to apply broadly to vehicle systems and manufacturing processes

  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with excellent written and verbal communication

  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic work environment

  • 3D CAD and multi-body dynamics software proficiency.

Our preferred requirements:

  • Prior experience managing parametric mass models and mass bill-of-materials

  • Strong proficiency in 3D Experience/Catia and MSC Adams.

  • 3+ years experience working with EV’s

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Strong proficiency in Atlassian tools (Confluence, JIRA)

  • Strong verbal and written communication
