What you’ll be able to do:
Create, build, and maintain parametric mass models to forecast mass properties of future components, vehicles, and systems.
Own and publish a 3D-based mass bill-of-materials for all vehicle configurations.
Run multi-body dynamics analysis and other parametric tools to calculate design loads for a variety of vehicle components (chassis, powertrain, thermal, etc.)
Collaborate with system and attribute owners to track mass properties and identify innovative mass saving solutions.
Investigate and assess feasibility of alternative manufacturing methods, geometries, or emerging technologies that can reduce vehicle masses and/or loads.
The minimum requirements we seek:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent
5+ years experience in automotive or related field
Strong engineering fundamentals, and ability to apply broadly to vehicle systems and manufacturing processes
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic work environment
3D CAD and multi-body dynamics software proficiency.
Our preferred requirements:
Prior experience managing parametric mass models and mass bill-of-materials
Strong proficiency in 3D Experience/Catia and MSC Adams.
3+ years experience working with EV’s
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
Strong proficiency in Atlassian tools (Confluence, JIRA)
Strong verbal and written communication
